Nose

An inviting combination of tart berries and vibrant fruit sweetness, beautifully complemented by rich, sweet oak. A wonderful balance of bright fruit and mature bourbon character.

Palate

FLAVOR BOMB! An explosion of vanilla and fruit-forward cola notes immediately commands attention. The higher rye content brings a lively, pronounced spice that complements the sweetness beautifully. A medium-bodied mouthfeel delivers an absolutely perfect texture, allowing the flavors to shine without feeling overly heavy.

Finish

A medium-length finish that punches well above its weight in flavor. Extremely flavorful, with the bourbon’s rich character carrying through the final sip.

Overall Impression

Barrel #59 is an absolute flavor bomb! The combination of tart fruit, sweet oak, vanilla-fruit cola, and vibrant rye spice creates a beautifully balanced yet exciting drinking experience. The texture is spot-on, and while the finish is medium in length, it certainly doesn’t lack intensity.

Bold flavors. Beautiful balance. An outstanding 9-year high-rye bourbon.
